New Pilot Fatigue Rules
Recently the FAA released new rules that are designed to augment flight safety by ensuring that pilots are given more rest prior to their flights. Together with other changes this story was welcomed exuberantly by many in the industry, mostly by the pilots. What has come as a major shock though is that the FAA has determined in their wisdom that only passenger pilots will get advantages from this rule change as cargo airlines are exempted.
Pilots Airline Training
Once a pilot has accumulated satisfactory flying hours and has been offered a flying position with a major airline he or she will undergo in house training in the airline itself. Every airline has the responsibility to instruct the pilot on the aircraft they’ll be flying and also to standardize them with the specific airlines authorized procedures. Aside from basic company orientation airline pilot training can be divided up into four area’s.
